SLUH Hockey Seniors Named to Academic All-American Team
The National High School Coaches Association has released its list of student-athletes designated as Academic All-Americans for the 2022-2023 year. Congratulations to Max Bely for being named as 1st Team Academic All-American and Luke Gund for being named as 2nd Team Academic All-American. The SLUH Hockey family is proud of their accomplishment.
16 SLUH Students received recognition at one of the three levels awarded. The full list of 16 recipients is delineated below.
1st Team Academic All-American: Max Bely (ice hockey, tennis)
2nd Team Academic All-American: Luke Dannegger (racquetball), Luke Gund (ice hockey, tennis), Lucas Hammond (soccer), Nick Heinlein (racquetball, baseball), David Hunt (volleyball), Joe Zarrilli (swimming and diving, water polo).
Academic All-American: Tim Greiner (cross country, track and field), Parker Guthrie (baseball), Nolan Meara (cross country, track and field), Zach Ortwerth (basketball, football), Luke Rosenberg (soccer), Brendan Schroeder (swimming and diving, water polo), Garrett Shearer (baseball), Connor Whalen (wrestling, golf), Henry Zenor (baseball).
